I love working with pastels – they allow me to capture line and land forms and to work on coloured paper. I use chalk pastels, pastel pencils and water soluble neopastels.

I have a life long love of cloud forms and can spend hours looking up at the sky. I enjoy trying to capture big sweeping skies with lots of personality.
Living in Edinburgh provides a rich supply of material for a curious artist. In this picture I was trying to capture the weak winter sunlight and the mix of angles of the rooftops.
Moving water is a source of endless fascination for me. The patterns are in a state of constant flux, and the pattern you see right now will never be the same again.
